Crazy things like Wallabie and Emu burgers, and more mainstream food such as salads, mushrooms and lots of fruit.
I spent one evening at the Taste last week with some friends and I had the best dessert I have ever eaten... it was Chocolate infused meringue with cream and rasberries. It may not look very nice on the picture, but I can assure you I will try to hunt the restaurant down to have some more.
The Sydney Hobart Yacht race has also just finished. The sail boats start from Sydney on Christmas day and arrive in Hobart just before New Years eve. The weather in the Tasman sea and the Bass strait was not very nice this year, and 16 boats had to pull out along the way. The winner used 2 days and just over 7 hours.
Every time a boat reaches the finish line they sail past all the people enjoying the Taste festival so they get a great welcome with people cheering them into the harbour. Great atmosphere!
When we were sitting there a tiny sailboat came past and people cheered for him aswell... but I don' think he had crossed the sea.
