Australian wildlife... up close and personal!

I have lived in Australia almost 5 months now, but not seen more than a glimpse of a marsupial (Norsk: pungdyr) so today I headed to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary . After a short 20 minute drive (mostly in very nice countryside) I found the place. The man who manned the door let me in from free when I said I was a vet :) The park is small but most of the animals are freewalking or have large enclosures. The guided tour started 10 minutes after I arrived and our guide, Paul, told us stories of Morris the wallabie who has lived in the park since he was rescued after his mother had been hit by a car. We got to experience Paul feeding 4 Tasmanian Devil sisters and patt the Koala.
We got some kangaroo pellets at the door and there were kangaroos everywhere! they even had a kangaroo rest area.. only for kangaroos :)

We live here too...
