My lovely Host family picked me up from Richmond on Friday after 4 weeks of seeing practice at Virginia Equine (Veterinary clinic).
Back up in Northern Virginia we packed the car and set off to the beach... in Maryland where my host family have a beach house and a great boat.
Saturday was spent on the boat: sunbathing, swimming and a bit of sleeping in the sun.
There are a lot of jelly fish (nettles) (norsk: brennmaneter) in the water and they sting really bad if you get in contact with them. So we used a big net around us when we were swimming.
Curt and his girlfriend swam to the shore... safely on the way over, but on the way back to the boat he got stung by a jellyfish. Poor Curt!
Sunday was went hunting for a beach. And we found one! and it was greater than we could ever have imagined. Was white, clean and with loads of families. Jill and I tried to find sharks teeth in the sand, but did not find any. Curt and his girlfriend rescued some fish stuck in small manmade pounds. Good job folks!
Boat is the furthes to the left.
