I headed to the top of Mt Wellington today. Situated only about 20min outside Hobart, so it is a bit depressing that it has taken me nearly 6 months to get there.
The mountain is 1271 meter tall (compared to the 253 meter tall Arthur Seat in Edinburgh). The road to the top was built in the 1930s, by mostly untrained men with few or none machines.
On the way up I passes a couple of people biking up!! They must be crazy (or at least very fit!).
