Arty afternoon

Todays weather was screaming "stay inside!". So I thought I should do just that.
It was my first short day for ages and I wanted to get out of the flat.
With a horrible cold onboard I headed for the other side of the river.
To the new Museum for Old and New Art (MONA) in Glenorchy.
It is the largest privately owned art collection in Australia and open to the public for free. It is a complete mix of old art (such as an ancient egyptian sarcophagus, and arrowheads) and very modern art (both paintings, video installations and big waterfall spelling out words with the waterdrops).
In the time I was there I only managed to see parts of one floor. The collection is very nicely laid out with lots of space and at the door you're given an iPod with all the art information. Some of the items have little soundclips and there is even a "love" / "hate" button.

I'll definetly go back to check out the rest of the collection. And I'll try to take some nice pictures (without using the flash!).
