Lisa, Tina and Laura brought me along to a concert yesterday. It was in The Caves in Edinburgh, which is deep under South Bridge with domed ceilings and stone walls and floor. You get a feeling many people have lived and died down there.
The concert was with Colin Hay, you may have heared him sing on the tv show Scrubs ("Waiting for my real life to begin" for example).
He also used to be in the group "Men at Work" (famous song "Land down under").
It was just him and his guitar, and his wife sang in the background for some of the songs.
I realised I had heared quite a few of the songs before (we have the cd in the car), and the ones I did not know were great as well.
When he started the song "There's water over you" we realised something was wrong, because he started crying... and then he said " I lost my daddy yesterday". We all stood there with tears in our eyes when he finished the song.
Amazing that he still performed when that happened yesterday!
Great concert!
